Nintendo Ds Top Games: The Price Is Right

I was excited when I learned The Price is Right was coming to the Nintendo DS. The show is fun to watch, and I wanted the chance to play in my own home. The game is good, but it could have been better. No one will consider The Price is Right as a Nintendo DS top game - but judge for yourself.

The Fun Stuff

Most of the fun elements from the show are in the game. Fans of the show will be able to play along with ease.

Most of the popular Price is Right games are included. You get:

Cliff Hangers (my favorite)
Plinko
3 Strikes
Bonkers
Check-Out
It’s in the Bag
Master Key
Hole in One
Money Game

The announcer explains how to play each game before you start. So even if you don’t watch the show, the in-game instructions help you along. Basically, you have to figure out how much things cost, which is why the show is called The Price is Right.

You also get a chance to try your luck on Contestants Row. If you win there, you play for money and prizes on the stage.

The cool thing is you get to play onstage even if you lose on Contestants Row. You won’t find yourself stuck there like people on the show who never make it to the stage.

The famous Price is Right wheel is also present in the game. Like on the show, the goal is to spin the wheel and get as close to 100 as possible without going over. If you go over, you’re sent back to Contestants Row. But if you’ve lost too many times, the whole game ends.

The Not-So Fun Stuff

This game is very slow compared to other Nintendo DS games. The loading time between games is slower than I’ve ever seen. You spend a lot of time waiting for the next game or scene to appear. It’s seems more time went into graphics and sound than actual gameplay or speed.

Another annoyance is the in-game disclaimer. The disclaimer is long, and it scrolls on the screen each time you start the game. There’s no way to skip it or increase the speed.

The Game is Fun…But

The Price is Right for the Nintendo DS isn’t the best game around. Could it have been better? Yes. Is it a total waste? No. If you like the show, you’ll probably enjoy the game.

Diner Dash: Hometown Hero is a follow up on the popular cooking/restaurant game Diner Dash: Flo on the Go, part of the Diner Dash franchise. After Flo’s cruise kitchen adventures she has to save her hometown which has fallen to rack and ruin in her apparently untimely absence.

Diner Dash: Hometown Hero retains the fundamentals of the previous games. Flo starts by doing simple chores, like seating customers and serving them. By the end of the night she’s cleaned tables and collected tips, and hopefully she has made enough money to go on to the next phase of the game.

Each step gets more difficult with more responsibilities required of Flo. However, as she succeeds in each venue they start improving. The amusement park, ball park, etc. are all getting increased people traffic as well as the surroundings. The countertops, tables, equipment, everything about the place show the upswing of bigger business.

Diner Dash: Hometown Hero is more than another dash game. It allows you to personalize not only Flo and her accessories, but your waiter. Also, you are allowed to design your own restaurant, play it and upload it for others. You can challenge others to a waiter duel to see who gets the most money. There are so many extras it’s hard to fathom wanting more in this great time management game, but you can get it!

For the first time you can also purchase (with your hard earned money in the real world) clothes and accessories for the game. Not only that but you can purchase whole new restaurants to play in all the modes - Story, Endless and Multiplayer to increase your playing enjoyment of playing Diner Dash: Hometown Hero.

This dash game provides the easy familiarity of the Diner Dash series, but exudes a freshness that makes it feel new and not a remake. Lots of fresh ideas and challenges keeps Diner Dash: Hometown Hero from feeling like you have to put out money for something you already owned. The best part is that the story is complete and a fun game to play. Xbox 360 Red Lights Errors And What They Mean

The Xbox 360 is an amazing piece of entertainment system. It doesn’t only have such a wide library of games, but it can also offer high quality games that everyone can enjoy. Also, innovation even takes things farther as it brings the video gaming experience to the next level more there are more interaction between the games and the people playing the games.

However, great as the Xbox 360 may be, there are some flaws with this video game console have that had quite a lot of people complain about. The Xbox 360 normally displays a green light around the power indicator. However, if it experiences any errors, it will display red lights.

The red lights basically mean that the Xbox is experiencing errors or failures.

There are basically four types of red lights that may appear on your Xbox. Each has a meaning that you may want to know about in order for you to determine if it is resolvable or if it needs to be shipped back to Microsoft to be repaired.

If you see a single red light flashing, this means that the Xbox 360 is experiencing problems with the scaler chip. You need to keep in mind that the scaler chip is the one responsible for dealing with the display processing through the AV cable. So, in order to get this problem fixed, you need to send the Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for repair. This is a minor problem and is usually resolved after a week or even after just a few days.

If you see 2 red light flashing on your Xbox 360 power button, it will mean that the Xbox 360 is overheating. If you experience this kind of error, then you need to turn off your Xbox 360 right away and let it cool down. You may also want to try and clean your Xbox 360 inside and out as dust may accumulate which can make the cooling systems inside the Xbox 360 stop working. Dust can also prevent the heat to dissipate as it clogs the air vents. Also, if you play with your Xbox 360 with the unit inside a display cabinet, it is likely to overheat. Instead, try to play with your Xbox 360 games with the unit out in the open. The wires may be a bit ugly to look at but it can keep your Xbox 360 cool and avoid it from overheating.

The next error is the 3 red light error. This error means that the Xbox 360 unit has experienced a general hardware failure. This is the most

serious of all problems and you will need to ship the unit back to Microsoft for repairs. In this kind of error, the GPU and the CPU may have experienced a burn out which may need replacement.

There is also the 4 red light error. This means that your AV cable is not plugged in correctly. To fix this, you just need to check or change the AV cable and it should be able to get back on and running again.

These are the different types of red light errors that you may experience with your Xbox 360. Always remember that overheating is basically the cause of all problems with the Xbox 360. Keep it free from dust and play with the games with the unit in a well-ventilated area, and you will be able to prevent overheating and also other problems related to Xbox 360.

A Garfield Comic Strip Is Always Fun

In 2007, a straight to video feature length film was released with the title, Garfield Gets Real. This version of the comic strip with Garfield is a CGI animated movie.

Before we go an further, lets take a moment to review what we have learned so far about this amazing subject. The strip tends to contain short story lines and the action usually keeps the protagonists in character. Jon Arbuckle is shown as a geek who has difficulty getting dates. Odie is not the smartest dog in the world, a fact that Garfield takes advantage of when he makes fun of him. Garfield has an inner fantasy world and is portrayed in several altar egos. These include The Caped Avenger, Amoeba Man, Banana Man, The Chicken Man, and Karate Cat. The range of merchandise is big business for the Garfield comic strip franchise and includes stuffed toys and figurines. Garfield’s Christmas Village is a lovely yuletide gift and there are also book compilations of the strips.
